There is a distinct, agonizing brand of frustration that sets in when you realize how thoroughly modern digital spaces have been stripped of organic, unpaid passion. Let's start with the language barrier, as it was the first thing people pointed out: my latest video was recorded in English for three specific reasons. First, I desperately needed to overcome the paralyzing dread of having people mock my speech impediment and foreign accent. Second, I wanted to connect directly with the international alternative rock community and TX2 listeners worldwide. Third, and perhaps most crucially - I was exhausted by algorithms corralling creative work into what can only be described as the algorithmic "Polish ghetto" on YouTube. The platform's recommendation engine loves geographic and linguistic boxing, effectively suffocating projects that are inherently borderless.

Now, let's address the core issue. Operating as the Emo Changeling, I launched an initiative titled the TX2 Pigeonification Ritual. What is it? It is a completely unhinged, fully volunteer, noncommercial DIY art project. I am inviting creators worldwide to illustrate the members of TX2 - fronted by Evan Sanchez - as common urban pigeons. Does it sound bizarre? That was precisely the point! The ultimate goal is to collect these illustrations, compile them into a massive physical collage poster, and hand it directly to the band during their show in Warsaw next February. It is a direct revival of the golden days of MySpace between 2005 and 2008, when music communities built wild, absurd art purely out of affection for the scene, without calculating reach, algorithmic monetization, or commercial endorsements.

And this is where I collided head-on with the concrete wall of contemporary social media. Despite the concept being genuinely fun and creative, the initial turnout was heartbreakingly modest. I started analyzing why, and the conclusion was devastating: modern corporate capitalism and social platform mechanics have normalized systematic disrespect toward the audience. People have grown completely detached from grassroots creativity because algorithmic environments conditioned us to respond exclusively to relentless marketing violence. Examine the most lucrative corporate ad campaigns: they are never built on dialogue or human decency. They rely on round-the-clock bombardment, invasive pop-ups, push notifications every fifteen minutes, and shoving products down your throat until you surrender from sheer psychological exhaustion. When a creator refuses to treat their viewers like mindless livestock, those viewers simply look past them.

I have a shameful confession to make. When this project first launched and I was building the website, I desperately needed initial art submissions - pioneer works - so the gallery wouldn't launch empty. Under algorithmic panic, I caved. I copied and pasted a promotional DM and blasted it to dozens of artists across TikTok. The instant I hit send, a wave of profound nausea and disgust washed over me. I felt thoroughly ashamed. I realized I was behaving exactly like the predatory corporations I despise. If you were one of the creators who received that unsolicited message: I apologize to you from the bottom of my heart. Please know that sending it was just as humiliating for me as receiving it was annoying for you. That was the first and absolute last time I will ever resort to spam.

When observing successful fan campaigns online, I see entire social accounts created solely to post "daily reminders" and badger audiences until they give in. I pass no judgment on those organizers, but for me, that approach directly violates fundamental respect for human dignity. I refuse to have people join the TX2 Pigeonification Ritual out of sheer marketing fatigue, thinking: "Fine, I will draw the stupid bird just so you stop blowing up my feed." I refuse to treat you as algorithmic meat. I refuse to manipulate your attention span. If an endeavor is born from genuine passion, its outreach must preserve that same dignity. People possess cognitive agency, intellect, and memory - we are not goldfish with three-second retention spans (a complete myth anyway: peer-reviewed research confirms goldfish retain memories for months!).

That is why I am drawing an unshakeable line in the sand regarding promotion. Instead of cold-messaging creators or churning out manipulative countdowns, I produced this video essay and this accompanying text. If you value authentic community, believe in digital respect, and simply want to have fun drawing weird fan art for TX2 - the gates to the ritual are wide open.
